Introduction

This year, the USA held Reuse Conex - its first national gathering of reusers or the 'reuse Woodstock' as someone coined it.  The event, which was organised by the Reuse Alliance, brought together people from across the States plus two people from Scotland: Linsay Chalmers from CRNS and Sarah Findlay from Starter Packs Glasgow.

There were inspirational speakers and practical workshops but best of all it created an opportunity to meet some of the two hundred reuse enthusiasts in attendance. The art and design movement in the USA has really embraced the idea of using reclaimed materials and this has really helped to raise awareness of reuse.
