Something Old Something New (SOSN) is a reuse project in Stirling which provides high-quality affordable second hand goods, diverting waste away from landfill. CRNS member SOSN is seeking volunteers to help with their work and they welcome individuals with a range of skills, including driving and lifting, or helping out in one of their retail outlets.
SOSN’s objectives are:
- To set up and run a retail outlet for upcycled and second hand goods in order to raise funds for Parkinson’s Disease research.
- To provide the public with high quality affordable second hand goods whilst diverting waste away from landfill, promoting reuse and a more sustainable lifestyle.
- To provide volunteering opportunities for people with Parkinson’s (PWP) and local residents to assist with the project and shop creating a hub for social and community interaction.
SOSN has a charity shop in St Ninians and a furniture outlet at Stirling Enterprise Park. One customer commented that she was delighted with the bargain furniture she purchased from SOSN and that the money went to a great cause.
CRNS supports SOSN and wholeheartedly endorses and encourages the donation and purchase of second-hand items. If you can lend a hand to help SOSN carry out their worthwhile work, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
